17 Manchester Students Who Scored 4s, 5s On AP Tests Honored By School Board

The Advanced Placement tests measure what students learned in AP classes; high scores can help with college requirements.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Board of Education honored 17 Manchester Township High School students who scored a 4 or 5 on Advanced Placement tests in the spring of 2021.

Those scores can help the students to get college credit for AP courses or better placement in college courses, depending on the college.

"When you get a 4 or 5 you are doing an outstanding job in the most rigorous classes we have in the high school, and you’ll notice some of these students are doing it in multiple classes," Superintendent David Trethaway said at the Aug. 18 board meeting, where the students were honored.

Manchester Township High School Vice Principal Sarah Thiffault read the names and accomplishments of the students, many of whom are already away at college and were not present at the meeting.
