Breaking: Police could smell marijuana as they questioned the men during a motor vehicle stop.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Two Manchester men and a Berkeley Township man are facing drug charges after they were arrested last week following an investigation in drug activity in the area, Manchester police said.
Nicholas Marquis, 19, of Beacon Street, Manchester; Troy Ksyniak, 18, of Monmouth Avenue, Manchester; and Elijah Miller, 21, of Anchorage Boulevard in Bayville, were arrested Dec. 28, Manchester Capt. Todd Malland said.
Malland said members of Manchester's Narcotics Enforcement Team were conducting surveillance in the Pine Lake Park section when they saw activity they suspected to be drug-related. At 6:21 p.m. police pulled over a vehicle on Route 70 that had been seen engaged in what they believed to be a drug transaction, he said.

The officers could smell the odor of marijuana inside the car, he said, and one of the township's K-9 officers was brought in to assist, Malland said. The investigation found Marquis in possession of a hunting knife, marijuana and drug paraphernalia; while Ksyniak was found in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, he said. Marquis, the driver, also gave a false name to police, Malland said.
Miller was found to be in possession of 28 doses of LSD or “acid,” alprazolam, marijuana, THC extract, and drug paraphernalia, Malland said. All three were arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.
