2 Men Smashed 14 Vehicles' Side Mirrors In Lakehurst: Police
The men were arrested following a plea for tips from Lakehurst police.
LAKEHURST, NJ — Two men who police say smashed side mirrors on 14 vehicles have been arrested thanks to tips from the public, Lakehurst police said Wednesday.
James R. Pasqualetto, 21, of Whiting, and Joseph J. Mauceri IV, 21, of Lakehurst, were arrested Tuesday after police posted video of a pickup truck they sought in connection with the vandalism, Lakehurst Police Officer Robert Schroeck said.
Police were called to multiple homes on the morning of Jan. 27 for reports of the smashed mirrors. Officer Daniel Hourigan took the reports, which totaled 14 different vehicles, all damaged during the night.

Hourigan was able to obtain video surveillance footage of a pickup truck that was posted, and tips led to the identification of Pasqualetto, Schroeck said. Police learned he had an active Berkeley Township Municipal Court arrest warrant and was taken into custody.
The investigation also led to Mauceri being identified as involved, Schroeck said. Both were charged with criminal mischief. Mauceri was released with a summons, while Pasqualetto was taken to the Ocean County Jail because of the Berkeley warrant, he said.
