3 Charged With Drug Possession At Lake Horicon: Police

Police found the Ocean County residents sitting in vehicle at the lake after someone reported seeing them doing drugs.

LAKEHURST, NJ — Three people were charged last week with drug offenses after police responded to a report of people engaged in what appeared to be drug activity in a vehicle at Lake Horicon, Lakehurst police said Wednesday.

Bria R. Krohn, 23, and Courtney R. Reis, 28, both of Jackson, and Kyle J. Sherwood, 30, of Brick, were arrested May 30, Lakewood Police Officer Robert Schroeck said. Officer Daniel Hourigan received a call about 6:45 p.m. describing a suspicious parked in the back of Lake Horicon.

Hourigan determined Krohn was exhibiting signs of being under the influence of drugs, Schroeck said; a subsequent search of the vehicle and occupants turned up an unspecified amount of alprazolam and clonazepam pills. An unspecified amount of another unnamed drug, a hypodermic needle and drug paraphernalia also were discovered, Schroeck said.
