3 Hospitalized After 3-Vehicle Crash In Manchester, Police Say
Police said a driver pulled out of a shopping center on Pinewald Keswick Road into the path of another vehicle that then hit a 3rd vehicle.
MANCHESTER, NJ — Three people were injured Wednesday when a driver pulled out of a shopping center into traffic, leading to a three-vehicle crash on Pinewald Keswick Road, Manchester police said.
Barbara Marter, 61, of Chatsworth; Tara Turner, 52, and Sharon Richardson, 77, both of Manchester, all were taken to hospitals for treatment following the crash that happened about 1:20 p.m., Manchester Capt. Albert Vega said.
The crash happened when a white 2021 Ram ProMaster driven by Frances Skwirut, 81, of Manchester, pulled out of the shopping plaza at 550 Pinewald Keswick Road into the path of a white 2020 Nissan Rogue driven by Turner, Vega said. After the Ram hit the Nissan, the Nissan kept going west and hit a blue 1998 Jeep Cherokee driven by Marter, he said.

Vega said Marter was taken to Deborah Hospital in Browns Mills for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and Turner was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where she was listed as stable.
Richardson was Turner's passenger and she was taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Vega said.

Skwirut was not injured in the crash, he said.
Assisting at the scene were emergency medical technicians from the Manchester Township Division of Emergency Services and Berkeley Township, paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, the Whiting Volunteer Fire Department, and Priced Rite Towing, he said.
Patrolman Brendan Brush is investigating, but the preliminary finding is that failure to yield the right of way by Skwirut was the primary contributing factor to the crash, Vega said.
