3 Hurt In Route 70-Manchester Blvd Crash: Police

None of the injuries in Wednesday's crash was believed to be life-threatening, Manchester police said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Three people were injured Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday on Route 70, Manchester police said.

Adele Beyer, 87, of Whiting, Debra Negron, 60, of Manchester, and Stephen Negron, 37, of Manchester, all were taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River for treatment of injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, Manchester Lt. Vincent Manco said.

Debra Negron was driving east on Route 70 with Stephen Negron in the passenger seat in a blue 1998 Ford Taurus about 10:45 a.m. Wednesday when Beyer, who was driving a white 2013 Nissan Rogue west on Route 70 turned left onto Manchester Boulevard, into the path of Negron's Ford, Manco said.

Beyer had to be extricated from the Nissan, which ended up on its side, through the cooperative efforts the Whiting Volunteer Fire Department, Manchester Volunteer Fire Department and Lakehurst Volunteer Fire Department, he said.

Assisting at the scene were members of the Whiting Volunteer Fire Department, Manchester Volunteer Fire Department, Lakehurst Volunteer Fire Department, Quality Medical Transport, Whiting Volunteer First Aid Squad, and MONOC paramedics. Patrolman Ian Bole is investigating.
