6 Seeking 2 Manchester School Board Seats

MANCHESTER, NJ — Four people have filed petitions to challenge two incumbents for two seats on the Manchester Township Board of Education, according to the Ocean County Clerk's Office.

Donald Webster Jr., the president of the board, and Christopher Nolan are seeking re-election. Webster, who has served as the president of the New Jersey School Boards Association, was first elected to the Manchester school board in April 1997. Nolan is seeking re-election to his second term and is running under the banner "For Our Children."

Challenging them are Bryan H. Jenner, Gayle Mount, Sarita Dodd and Anthony S. Goltsch.

Jenner is a retired public school teacher and clinical supervisor at Monmouth University and is running under the banner "Education Matters." Mount, running under the banner "Count on Mount," is an educator with 19 years of experience and served on the board from July 2017 to December 2017 when Mary Walter stepped down. Dodd is heavily involved with the Manchester PTA and served as its president for five years. Goltsch is the owner of Golden Goose Jewelers and has five children in the school district.
