MANCHESTER, NJ — An ambulance was involved in a crash on Route 37 near Colonial Drive on Monday, according to a report.
The crash happened shortly before 2 p.m., Manchester police said in an alert warning drivers to avoid the area.
Jersey Shore Online reported the ambulance was involved and had been en route to a call when it happened.
There was no immediate information on injuries.
The state Department of Transportation website said the crash closed one lane eastbound but the road reopened about half and hour later, police said.
A request to Manchester police for additional information was not immediately answered.
