MANCHESTER, NJ — Manchester Township police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who smashed his way into a convenience store and burglarized it on Saturday.
The burglary, captured on the store's surveillance video, happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday at Country Farms, 550 Route 530 in Manchester, police said.
In the video, the man can be seen trying to smash the glass on the store's door with what appears to be a chunk of concrete. When it doesn't break after a couple of tries, he smashes a window instead and climbs inside.
He then is seen going behind the counter and grabbing several items off the shelf then running and climbing back out of the broken window.
Police said the stolen items were Opia Kratom.
The Manchester Township police video is on Facebook.
The man was wearing a green cut-off shirt with a blue/purple sweatshirt, a yellow sport-style watch or silicone bracelet on his left wrist and an additional red silicone-style bracelet.
He also has tattoos on his left arm and upper back, darker above-shoulder-length hair.
Police said he appeared to have a cut on his left arm near his wrist.
