MANCHESTER, NJ — Manchester Township police and the school district are investigating students' actions after the Manchester Township High School "Senior Prank" on June 17.

Manchester Schools Superintendent Diane Pedroza acknowledged there had been an "incident" at the high school but declined to provide details.

"We are continuing our investigation and reviewing all available information," Pedroza said Monday. "Because this matter involves students and student discipline, we are limited in what we can discuss."

"We can confirm that the activities that occurred after the Senior Prank exceeded the expectations and guidelines that had been communicated to students, and appropriate action will be taken in accordance with district policies and the student code of conduct," Pedroza said in an email.

Video shared on Instagram by Tri-County Scanner News shows students on the roof of Manchester Township High School, and the word "PRANKED" painted in all capital letters on the concrete outside the building. Inside the building there are balloons and toilet paper strewn all over, the video shows.

The damage was more extensive, readers have told Patch, and some students are being denied permission to participate in graduation on Tuesday, the readers said.
