JACKSON, NJ — A Jackson Township home was left uninhabitable after an Academy Transit Bus crashed into the home on Wednesday, police said.
There were no injuries inside the home, Jackson Lt. Edward A. Travisano said.
The bus had no passengers, he said, and the driver suffered a very minor injury.
The bus was headed north on Whitesville Road at the time of the crash, which happened about 4:30 a.m., police said.
Whitesville Road intersects East Veterans Highway as a T- intersection. The house, at 853 East Veterans Highway, sits directly across from Whitesville Road.
The bus, instead of turning either left or right onto East Veterans Highway, kept going straight and drove into the home.
The cause remains under investigation.
Travisano said the home was deemed uninhabitable due to damage to the foundation.
A message to the Academy Bus company, based in Toms River, seeking further information was not immediately answered.
