Back To School: Lakehurst 2023-24 School Calendar

LAKEHURST, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Lakehurst and Manchester schools.

The first day of school for most students in Lakehurst is Sept. 7.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Lakehurst Elementary School

First Day: Sept. 7

Columbus Day: Oct. 9, no school for students.

NJEA Convention: Nov. 6-10 school closed

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 23-24

Nov. 27-Dec. 1: Half-days for parent-teacher conferences

Winter Break: Dec. 25-Jan. 1

Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Jan. 15, schools closed.

Presidents Weekend: Feb. 16-19, schools closed

Spring Break: March 29-April 7

Memorial Day: May 24-27

Last Day: June 20, tentative

There are two emergency closure days built into the calendar, Feb. 16 and May 24. Those will become school days if there is a closure for inclement weather or other issues.

Manchester Township Schools

First Day: Sept. 7

Columbus Day: Oct. 9, no school for students.

Election-NJEA Convention: Nov. 6-10

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 23-24

Winter Break: Dec. 25-Jan. 1
