'BARNGO' Game Brings Together Manchester Seniors, Superintendent
Manchester Schools Superintendent John Berenato visited a Senior Social Happenings afternoon at The Barn to bring info to the community.
MANCHESTER, NJ — Manchester Schools Superintendent John Berenato took time to connect with residents of the township's age-restricted communities during an afternoon of "BARNGO" at The Barn.
The Barn is a community center operated by Inspire-NJ, an organization that aims to support the needs of Ocean County's military, veterans and seniors, and it is based in Manchester.
"This area has the 2nd largest senior population and the 6th largest veteran population in the United States," the organization says. "Our vision is to address all their necessary needs with dignity, honor and respect."

One of those needs is social outings, and on Mondays the center hosts Senior Social Happenings @TheBarn, which include a meal and "BARNGO!" — its version of Bingo, officials said.
Before the game, Berenato provided the attendees with an update about the happenings across the school district, including its efforts to get school volunteers to share their insights and skills with students.
