Beachwood Man Sought In Manchester Burglary Attempt
Breaking: He is accused of throwing a rock through a window to break into a home in a senior community, police said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Manchester Township police are seeking the public's help in locating a Beachwood man wanted in an attempted burglary in one of the township's senior communities.
Ronald Huegel, 23, of Beachwood, is wanted on charges of attempted burglary and criminal mischief in the Dec. 22 attempt to break into a home in the Crestwood Village 4 section of Manchester, Capt. Todd Malland said.
Police were called to a home on Molly Pitcher Boulevard about 5 a.m. on Dec. 22 for a report of a burglary in progress, Malland said. As officers arrived in the area, Patrolman Michael Anderson observed a subject off in the distance dressed in a dark jacket with a hat walk between several houses. When Anderson got to the area where the subject was last seen, the subject had disappeared into an adjacent heavily wooded area, Malland said.

Anderson then met with the victim, and the investigation showed someone had removed two exterior screens from the victim’s residence, presumably to look for unlocked windows, Malland said. When that was unsuccessful, the involved person or persons threw a large rock through one of the residence’s windows in an attempt to gain entry, however, they were not able to get into the home, he said. The broken window prompted the call to police, he said.
After meeting with the victim, Anderson checked the surrounding area and found two individuals standing in front of another residence on Molly Pitcher Boulevard. While speaking with those two, Anderson was able to develop the name of a possible suspect, Malland said.

Detective Craig Beaulieu assisted with the investigation and conducted multiple interviews, Malland said, and was able to identify Huegel and Jordan Stuart, 19, of Lyndhurst as having been involved in committing the attempted burglary.
Stuart was arrested and charged with one count of attempted burglary, Malland said. He is being held at the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, in lieu of $2,500 bail, with a 10 percent option, according to jail records.

Huegal has been charged with one count each of criminal attempt-burglary and criminal mischief and bail was set at $5,000, Malland said.
Huegal has been arrested previously in Manchester, back in September on a warrant stemming from an incident in Keansburg. Details about that arrest and the warrant were not immediately available.
Because Huegal’s whereabouts are not currently known, he has been entered as a New Jersey wanted person, Malland said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Manchester Township Police at 732-657-6111.
