MANCHESTER, NJ — A boy has been charged with robbery and weapons offenses after he robbed a Manchester resident at knifepoint in Pine Lake Park, police said Monday.

The resident told police the boy approached him on Friday about 7:15 p.m. in the area of Hannibal Street and 7th Avenue and demanded money while threatening him with a knife, Capt. Albert Vega said.

The victim was able to get away and ran to a nearby home, where he sought safety, Vega said.
