Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey Invites Residents To A Night Of Dancing With The Stars

CVCJ will host a night of music and glamour to support its volunteers and programs for the local elderly population.

Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ) will be hosting a Dancing with the Stars themed event, complete with competing dance partners. Admission includes a full course dinner and a night of dancing, with music provided by DJ David Lettice. Participants and benefactors also have a chance to vote for their favorite showcased dancing couple here.

“As a non-profit organization, all the funds that we raise are used to support our mission, which is to provide vital assistance to the elderly, disabled, veterans and those who care for them,” states Director of Development Linda Conroy. “Our goal is to enable individuals to remain independent and to allow them to live with dignity and joy. All funds raised are spent for recruiting, training and matching volunteers, criminal background checks, motor vehicle profiles, volunteer insurance and development of new programs.”

CVCJ is dedicated to helping those over the age of 60 who cannot drive to live independently in their own homes; their services are free of charge. With 1,200 volunteers assisting over 2,500 senior citizens each month in Ocean County, they offer services like transportation, grocery shopping, and friendly visits. Their list of services can be found here.
