Cheerio(s)! Manchester Students Collecting Cereal

Whether it's Frosted Flakes or Frosted Mini-Wheats, the boxes of breakfast are destined for other children, officials say.

MANCHESTER, NJ -- Hey buddy, got a box of Lucky Charms?

If you do, the students of the Manchester Township school district want your donation.

To help make sure needy children and their families have enough to eat, the service clubs of the school district are collecting boxed cereal to donate to The People’s Pantry, which assists needy families.

Each school has a goal of 500 boxes, and the deadline is this Friday, Dec. 18.

The district’s service clubs -- InterAct, Impact, Junior Impact and Key clubs -- are coordinating the efforts. Donations can be dropped off at any school through then end of this week.
