Chevy Silverado Sought In Manchester Hit-And-Run Crash: Police
A pickup truck hit a utility pole Monday night at Commonwealth Boulevard and broke it, and left parts behind, police said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Authorities are searching for a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in connection with a hit-and-run crash that happened late Monday evening in Manchester, police said.
The crash happened shortly after 11 p.m. at the intersection of Commonwealth Boulevard and Champlain Street. Police were notified there were wires down in the road and found a utility pole had been hit and was broken at the base, Manchester Capt. Vincent Manco said.
There was no vehicle in the area but police found a fluid trail on Commonwealth Boulevard that eventually dissipated near Beacon Street, Manco said.

Commonwealth Boulevard was closed from Champlain Street to Northampton Boulevard for the investigation, and found several parts from a vehicle at the scene.
Manco said a search of the serial number on what appeared to be a front bumper showed it belonged to a Silverado with a model year from 2016-2019.

The pickup truck is believed to have sustained heavy front-end damage.
Anyone who has information about the crash or has seen the pickup is asked to call the Manchester Township Police Department at 732-657-2009.
Patrolman Jose Diaz of the Manchester Township Police Department patrol bureau is investigating.
