Crash Closes Route 539: Ocean County Sheriff
Breaking: The road is closed in both directions and will be shut for an undetermined length of time, the sheriff's office said.
A motor vehicle crash has shut down Route 539 from Harry Wright Boulevard in Manchester to Route 72 in Barnegat, the Ocean County Sheriff's office said Wednesday morning.
In a Nixle alert issued about 10:30 a.m., the sheriff's office said the road is closed in both directions. The alert did not give an estimate of how long the closure will last.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

According to the NJ Incident Alert Network Facebook page, scanner transmissions say a truck overturned and spilled a load of sand on the road. That information could not immediately be confirmed.
