MANCHESTER, NJ — Manchester Township police urged motorists to avoid the area of Route 70 and Manchester Boulevard following a crash Thursday night.

Route 70 is closed at Beckerville Road and Schoolhouse Road until further notice, the Ocean County Sheriff's Office said in an alert.

Manchester police said the closure would remain in place for several hours.

Ocean County Scanner News reported the crash involved a vehicle hitting a pole.
