Routes 70, 571 Reopened After Crash: Manchester Police

The roads were reopened about 3:30 p.m. following the investigation of the crash, police said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — (Updated, 4:45 p.m) Route 571 and Route 70 were reopened Wednesday afternoon, more than five hours after a motor vehicle crash forced authorities to shut them down.

Details on the crash, which happened a bit before 10 a.m., were not yet available.

The Manchester Township Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff's Office both sent Nixle alerts about 10 a.m. announcing the closure.

The sheriff's office said Route 70 was closed east of Colonial Drive and west of Route 571.

The roads were reopened about 3:30 p.m.
