Gordon Hesse’s life was rather ordinary until he
ended up in solitary confinement in a Cuban prison, was placed on house arrest
in a mansion, expected to be shot by a firing squad, got thrown back into
prison, started a riot, and was freed for telling his first lie. Gordon will
relate his fascinating story at Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library
on Tuesday September 30 beginning at 7:00 pm.
Hesse is also author of, All Summer Long: Tales and Lore of Lifeguarding on the
Atlantic and Children of the Sky: The Odyssey of Alvar Nuñez Cabeza de
Vaca. He will also be available for
book signing.
