At 6:00 in the Media Center, students from the Jr. Impact Club will be volunteering to read books to Kindergarten or preschoolers as part of a healthy body (food) and mind (books) effort. Feed Your Body and Your Mind.... Thanks to a mini-grant from the PTA , we will purchase appropriate books for the youngsters. Our Jr. Impact students will read the book, discuss it and then autograph it for the child as a gift. We hope this will be a well attended and worthwhile project to promote literacy. Barbara Bastian, our Literacy Coach, will be available to speak with the parents while the students are reading. She will offer tips on how to read with a young child.
