Expect 'Abundant Noise' From Drills At Joint Base
Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst has drills planned through Thursday that will generate a lot of booms, officials say.

JOINT BASE McGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, NJ — If you're hearing the booms that are reverberating across Ocean County on Tuesday, it's because of drills being conducted at the joint base this week, base officials say.
The Joint Base publishes a monthly "noise level calendar," and that calendar indicates "abundant noise" from the base through Thursday.
The base does not publish specifics of what training is happening or what organization is training, but in the past the loudest noise has come when units are training with mortars.
