Fall Fire Hydrant Flushing Underway In Manchester

Fire hydrants are flushed twice a year for routine water system maintenance.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Department of Utilities will be flushing fire hydrants in October and November, the department announced.

The hydrant flushing is routine maintenance for the water system performed twice a year.

Hours will vary, with flushing performed during the day and at night.

If you experience discolored water after the flushing, run the cold water tap only until the water clears.
