Farm Market Vouchers Available For Manchester Seniors In Need
The vouchers can be used to buy produce and are for low-income seniors.
MANCHESTER, NJ — Manchester Township Senior Services Department will be distributing farm market vouchers to low-income seniors in the township.
The vouchers are for $50 per person to purchase Jersey Fresh Produce and will be available to those 60 or older on a first come-first serve basis until all vouchers have been distributed.
The vouchers will be distributed at the Manchester Senior Services office at 1 Colonial Drive, in the building toward the back of the complex between Town Hall and the Manchester branch of the Ocean County Library, and at the Whiting Volunteer Fire Company, Cherry Street and Route 530.

The vouchers are for use at certain farm markets, a list of which will be provided with the voucher, according to Senior Services officials.
The distribution at the senior center will be on June 9, from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m.

The distribution at the fire company will be on June 12, from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m., and on June 15 from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
After those dates the vouchers will be available at the senior services office, 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. daily until all of the vouchers have been distributed.
The guidelines are as follows:
You must be a Manchester resident, age 60 or older, with a maximum monthly income of $2,248 for one person or $3,041 for two people.
To receive the voucher you must show proof of age and that you are receiving government assistance, such as SNAP benefits or Medicaid.
