Federal Heroin, Fentanyl Conviction For Manchester Man

TRENTON, NJ — A Manchester Township man has been convicted in federal court of drugs and weapons charges, authorities said Friday.

Dyshawn Moss, 43, was convicted on Oct. 27 following a four-day trial before U.S. District Judge Michael A. Shipp on five charges: possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.

Moss was arrested at his apartment building in Manchester on May 24, 2019, authorities said. Inside his apartment they found more than 1,000 grams of fentanyl, more than 1,300 grams of heroin, and more than 2,600 grams of cocaine; drug-packaging materials; more than $150,000 in cash, and a 9mm Taurus handgun loaded with 10 rounds of ammunition, they said.

Moss faces up to life in prison on the drug trafficking charges and a maximum fine of $10 million, and up to 10 years in prison on the firearm possession, and an additional five years on the possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug crime.

Sentencing is scheduled for March 29, 2023, authorities said.
