Firefighters Battling Blaze In Manchester Home
Reports of the fire were posted on social media just after 11:30 p.m.

Manchester firefighters were battling a house fire overnight as the temperatures dropped into single digits.
The Ocean County Police, Fire & EMS Facebook page reported at 11:50 p.m. that firefighters were battling the blaze at 3239 Wilbur Ave., north of Ridgeway Road and northwest of Route 70. That report said the fire was in the walls of the home.
Just before 1 a.m. officials at the scene reported to dispatchers that salt trucks from the township’s public works department would be needed because Wilbur had become icy from water used to fight the fire. The temperature at 12:45 a.m. in Manchester was 9 degrees, according to Accuweather.com.
