Football: Manchester Falls To St. John Vianney
The Hawks fall behind early against the undefeated Lancers

The scheduling gods have not been kind to the Manchester football team this season.
A week after fighting through a 34-0 loss to Point Boro where their starting quarterback was injured, the Hawks were faced on Friday night with an unbeaten St. John Vianney team that has rolled through its schedule so far. And Manchester became just another notch for the Lancers, who beat Manchester 51-22.
Manchester (0-5) fell behind early in the nondivisional Shore Conference game, trailing 37-0 by halftime. But the Hawks scored points late in the game to avoid the shutout.
