Football: Manchester Falls to Undefeated Lakewood

Hawks get a 52-yard touchdown at end of game

It’s been a rough go for the Manchester football team, as the Hawks went to Lakewood and fell to the undefeated Piners, 32-15 on Saturday in a Shore Conference Class B South game, according to the Shore Sports Network.

Shavar Reynolds scored just before halftime for the Hawks (0-3, 0-3) to make it 19-7, but Lakewood (3-0, 3-0) scored early in the second half and then kept the Hawks at bay the rest of the way,

Manchester quarterback Jerry Blackburn threw a 52-yard touchdown pass to Israel Almestica at the end of the game for Manchester’s other score.
