MANCHESTER, NJ — Welcome to the April 18 edition of Monday Manual, where we highlight events coming up during the week in Manchester.
Earth Day is on tap this week, and in recognition of efforts to take care of the environment, the state Department of Environmental Protection is giving away tree seedlings.
In Manchester, the seedlings are set to be available on a first come, first served basis on Friday and Saturday at town hall, 1 Colonial Drive, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.

The young trees come with instructions on how to store, plant, and take care of them.
Residents should plant the trees within 48 hours of picking them up so the roots don't dry out, the township said.
