CLOSURES/CANCELATIONS
TUESDAY

Manchester Township schools will have a 90-minute delayed opening Tuesday.
Donovan Catholic High School is closed Tuesday.

Ocean County College has a delayed start at 11 a.m.
Ocean County Vocational Schools are closed Tuesday.
MONDAY
All Manchester Township schools are closed Monday.
Due to school closings all Manchester Township Recreation programs for Monday are canceled.
The Ocean County YMCA Y-Kids program is canceled Monday in Manchester.
All Ocean County Vocational Technical Schools, including MATES and the Performing Arts Academy, are closed Monday. Auditions for the 2016-17 school year at the PAA auditions and the entrance exam for MATES that were canceled Saturday have been rescheduled for Jan. 30.
Donovan Catholic High School in Toms River is closed Monday.
Georgian Court University in Lakewood is closed Monday.
Ocean County College in Toms River is closed Monday.
Monmouth University is closed Monday.
Superior Court in Ocean County will open at 10 a.m. Monday.
As of 1:30 p.m. Sunday:
The Manchester Township Police Department reminds residents to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary: “Our state, local and county road departments continue to work on clearing streets. Please remember that many are still not completely plowed. Use caution when driving and drive only if necessary.”
According to JCP&L all Manchester residents have had power restored.
As of 3 p.m. Saturday:
Just a handful of Manchester residents remain with out power at this time, though the snow and wind are picking up again. JCP&L repaired a substation in Toms River that had caused a number of outages. Work is being hampered by road conditions, however:

More than a foot of snow has fallen in Manchester and surrounding areas.
Hundreds of residents are without power, a situation that is expected to worsen as the day goes on.
Ocean County officials are telling people to stay off the roads because they are covered by nearly a foot of snow.
CANCELLATIONS
The SAT test administrations scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 23, at Brick Memorial High School, Toms River South and Toms River East have been canceled. They are rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 20.
Auditions for the Performing Arts Academy and the assessments for the Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science (MATES) for prospective 2016-17 students through the Ocean County Vocational Schools have been canceled.
Recycling collection in Pine Lake Park scheduled for Saturday will be picked up on Monday, Jan. 25.
CLOSINGS
The Ocean County Mall is closed Saturday.
Freehold Raceway Mall is closed Saturday.
Ocean County College is closed Saturday and Sunday.
Stockton University has closed its campuses Saturday and Sunday.
Monmouth University is closed Saturday and Sunday.
Brookdale Community College is closed Saturday and Sunday.
REMINDERS/TIPS
Residents are reminded to assist by removing snow from fire hydrants and storm drains during winter weather.
Be sure to have batteries, water and non-perishable food on hand.
Contact friends and relatives to ensure they are prepared and do not need assistance. If you feel you might need to, go now to a friend, neighbor or relative to stay for the duration of the storm, do not wait until it is too late.
Be sure to have spare cash on hand in case banks / ATM’s are unavailable.
Fuel up vehicles in case gas stations are closed / out of service.
Keep medications and important phone numbers handy in case you have to leave your residence.
Bring pets in or make preparations to ensure their safety.
