Gun Club Treasurer Accused Of Stealing Club Dues: Ocean Prosecutor
The treasurer, who lives in Middlesex County, is accused of collecting the dues and using them for his personal reasons.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Middlesex County man is accused of stealing $4,000 from a Plumsted gun club where he was the treasurer, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday.
Michael D. Weber, 64, of Spotswood, was charged with theft on Sept. 6, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said in a joint news release with Plumsted Township Police Chief Earl Meroney.
Weber, as the treasurer of the Lakeside Rod and Gun Club in Plumsted Township, was responsible for collecting and depositing the club’s membership dues and paying the club’s expenses, authorities said.

Investigators have determined Weber collected about $4,000 between membership dues between July 2017 and January 2021 and using the funds for his own personal benefit, Billhimer said.
Weber was processed and released on a summons pending future court appearances, Billhimer said.
