Helicopters Inspecting JCP&L Power Lines In Manchester
The inspections are expectedl to take about two weeks, officials said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — If you see helicopters overhead in Manchester Township this week, don't be alarmed, authorities say; Jersey Central Power & Light is conducting its spring transmission line inspections.
In an announcement on the township's website, officials said the inspections will be conducted by Chesapeake Bay Helicopters.
The inspections were scheduled to begin Monday, May 15, and are expected to take about two weeks to complete, officials said, depending on weather conditions.

"The helicopters will be flying slowly (20 to 30 mph) along the lines, and may hover at any time for a closer inspection," township officials said. "The helicopters scheduled for these patrols are a black Hughes MD500 with registration (tail) number N748CB and a black-and-silver Hughes MD500 with registration (tail) nubmer N90TJ.
"The pilot will be in communication with any local airports when in their airspace," officials said.
