House Fire Quickly Extinguished In Manchester
Damage to the home in Pine Lake Park was limited; there was no one home at the time of the fire, police said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — A fire in the attic of a Pine Lake Park home was quickly brought under control Friday afternoon, limiting damage, Manchester police said.
The fire on 12th Avenue was reported at 4:13 p.m., Manchester Lt. James Komsa said.
Arriving police officer saw smoke and flames coming from the attic of the home and quickly determined the house was not occupied, Komsa said.

Neighboring homes were evacuated while firefighters battled the fire and quickly put it out, he said.
There were no injuries reported at the time of the fire, Komsa said.

The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation by Manchester Police detectives and the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office.
