Hydrant Flushing Set To Begin In Manchester For 2023

MANCHESTER, NJ — Mark your calendars: hydrant flushing is coming up throughout Manchester.

The Manchester Township Department of Utilities announced it will be flushing fire hydrants during April and May.

Each community will be notified when flushing begins in their area. Hours will vary during the day as well as during the night. During this time, you will experience a difference in pressure and discoloration.

Residents should run the cold tap water until it runs clear.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause," the utilities department said.
