Joint Base Exploding Ordnance Tuesday: Officials
The explosions may be heard well into the evening, officials said.

JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, NJ — If you hear explosions or rumbles Tuesday well into the evening, chances are they are coming from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, base officials said.
The base said the Explosive Ordnance Team of the 87th Civil Engineers will be setting off cratering charges all day, from around 8 am until midnight.
Cloudy conditions can make the blasts sound louder or closer than they actually are, officials said.
