MANCHESTER, NJ — Independence Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in and around Manchester for 2023.

What: Lakehurst 4th of July Car Show
Where: Lakehurst Elementary School, 301 Union Ave., Lakehurst
When: 9 a.m.-3 p.m., July 3

Where: Lake Horicon Park, Lake Street
When: Dusk, July 3

Enjoy a celebration of Independence Day with fireworks over the lake.

What: Jenkinson's Independence Day Fireworks
Where: Boardwalk, Point Pleasant Beach
When: Dusk, July 4

Fourth of July fireworks return to Jenkinson's Boardwalk this summer.

What: Fireworks Extravaganza at the Jersey Shore BlueClaws
Where: ShoreTown Ballpark, Lakewood
When: July 4, after the baseball game

A patriotic fireworks show follows the Jersey Shore BlueClaws game against the Hudson Valley Renegades.

What: Seaside Heights Fourth of July Fireworks

Where: Boardwalk, Seaside Heights
When: 9:30 p.m. July 4

Fireworks return to Seaside Heights this summer every Wednesday, but there's a display scheduled for the Fourth of July.

What: Manchester Day 2023
Where: Harry Wright Lake Park, Manchester
When: Rescheduled to Aug. 26. 2 p.m. until dark

Manchester Day was rescheduled after thunderstorms were forecast June 24 and 25. Manchester celebrates its founding every summer in the days leading up to Independence Day, complete with entertainment, vendors and fireworks to end the evening.
