Lakehurst Man Accused Of Heroin, Cocaine Distribution: Police

Michael S. Ford, 47, was arrested Tuesday following a search of his motel room, police said.

LAKEHURST, NJ — A Lakehurst man is facing drug distribution charges after a monthlong investigation led to a search that turned up heroin and cocaine in his motel room, police said.

Michael S. Ford, 47, was arrested Tuesday evening following the search of his room at the Travel Inn and Suites at 850 Route 70 in Lakehurst, said Lakehurst Police Officer Robert Schroeck, the department's public information officer.

Schroeck said the investigation into drug distribution led to a search warrant that was executed at Ford's room shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday that turned up 45 wax folds of heroin, 79 individually packaged vials of cocaine, a plastic bottle containing an unknown amount of PCP and multiple hypodermic needles.

The warrant was executed by Lakehurst police, assisted by Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Cpl. Theodore Wielichoski and his partner K-9 Sheba. Lakehurst Police Officer Jason Guide made the arrest.

Ford is charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession of PCP and possession of a hypodermic needle, Schroeck said.

He is being held at Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
