Lakehurst Man Tried To Hide Heroin, Drug Paraphernalia: Police

LAKEHURST, NJ — A Lakehurst man is facing drug charges after police say he tried to hide heroin from them when they were called to make an unwanted guest leave a home.

Scott W. Parker, 22, and Thea M. Deehan, 22, also of Lakehurst, were arrested Friday afternoon after Lakehurst Police Officers Robert Schroeck and Michael Cecchini responded to the call at 2:35 p.m., police said.

The officers found Deehan had an active Lakehurst Municipal Court warrant for her arrest, and Parker had an active warrant from Bordentown City Municipal Court, Schroeck said.

Both were arrested, and the subsequent investigation revealed multiple wax folds containing suspected Heroin, a hypodermic needle, a crack pipe and other drug paraphernalia located on scene, he said.

The officers later determined the heroin and other drug items belonged to Parker, Schroeck said.

Both were taken to police headquarters. Deehan was released pending a mandatory court appearance with the Lakehurst Municipal Court.

Parker was charged with possession of heroin, hindering by concealment of evidence, possession of a hypodermic needle, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance without a prescription.

Parker was being held in the Ocean County Jail pending a court appearance.

Schroeck and Cecchini were assisted by Officer William Bowers and Officer Grant Hofferica.
