Lakehurst Police Make Two Drug Arrests During Traffic Stops
Traffic stops led to two drug arrests

officers made two marijuana arrests last week during traffic stops, according to information released by the department.
Officer Stephen Gallo stopped a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Elvis Molina of Millville for a light maintenance violation on Route 37 near Brown Avenue at 12:26 a.m. on March 14. During the stop, Gallo was joined by Officer Matthew Kline and the pair recovered marijuana from the vehicle, said Sgt. Ronald Heinzman.
Police said that Molina admitted to smoking marijuana before the stop. Molina was charged with possession of marijuana, being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, according to Heinzman.

Molina was processed at the Lakehurst Police Department headquarters and was released pending a municipal court date, Heinzman said.
The second arrest came during a traffic stop on March 11 when Officer Robert Seiden noticed front seat passenger Ismael G. Quinones, 35, of Pennsauken, allegedly slip "an object" into his shirt sleeve, Heinzman said.

Seiden, who was standing at the passenger window, asked Quinones to exit the car. Police said that Quinones then produced the marijuana and admitted that he was smoking prior to the traffic stop, Heinzman said.
Quinones was charged with possession of marijuana and being under the influence of the drug. He was processed at the Lakehurst Police Department headquarters and released a summons pending an upcoming municipal court date, Heinzman said.
