Lakehurst Woman Injured As Car Backs Over Her: Police
She was retrieving items from the trunk at the time of the incident, police said.

MANCHESTER, NJ -- Manchester police are praising the quick actions of members of the Whiting Volunteer Fire Company in the rescue of a Lakehurst woman after a car backed over her in a Manchester driveway on Tuesday, police said.
Carolee Ramage, 65, of Lakehurst, was listed in stable condition Wednesday at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, Manchester Capt. Todd Malland said, in the wake of the incident that happened just before 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Ramage had been a passenger in a blue 2011 Hyundai Elantra driven by Josephine Gant, 71, of the Whiting section, Malland said. Gant had returned to her home on Hampshire Lane in Crestwood Village and pulled into the driveway, he said. Ramage got out and walked to the back of the car to get some items from the trunk and the car traveled backward, running Ramage over and trapping her under the car, Malland said.
