Letter To The Editor: Thank You, Ken Palmer

Writer says mayor-elect will bring energy to Manchester government

Dear Editor:

Manchester residents from the youngest to the oldest will benefit from the 2014 campaign for mayor. We had a choice, and without Ken Palmer stepping up to say he would be a candidate, that choice would not have existed. Ken’s campaign was conducted the old fashioned way – the candidate went door-to-door personally to present himself as a candidate. A diverse group of his volunteers did what they could do to get the word out. The political process worked well and it is refreshing to be reminded that each vote counts.

Councilman Craig Wallis and Councilman Brendan Weiner were unopposed, so the five members of the Town Council remain, but with new leadership from Mayor-elect Ken Palmer. Best wishes go to all of them. Hopefully they will work together for the benefit of all Manchester’s residents who are now energized with the renewed confidence in our forms of government.
