LourdesCare at New Hanover Hosts Women’s Health Fair

LourdesCare at New Hanover, a comprehensive outpatient center that offers expert radiology testing and physical therapy services, is hosting a free women’s health fair on Saturday, March 3, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Located at 25 Wrightstown-Cookstown Road, just outside the entrance to McGuire Air Force Base, LourdesCare at New Hanover is hosting the fair as part of its commitment to the health and well-being of patients and the community.

The free event on March 3 offers:

• Blood pressure screenings
• Blood glucose testing
• Cholesterol testing
• Body fat analysis
• Bone density testing
• Balance technique demonstrations
• Overall health risk assessment

Health lectures and information will also be offered by Lourdes physicians, as well as facility tours, refreshments and seated chair massages. Children are welcomed to bring their stuffed animals for a check-up at the fair’s teddy bear clinic.

At the event, participants will also receive a certificate for a free EKG exam and pocket EKG card. The card contains vital health and baseline EKG information, which can be useful to medical personnel in the event of an emergency.
