Man, 21, Critically Injured In Route 571 Crash In Manchester: PD

MANCHESTER, NJ — A 21-year-old Monmouth County man was critically injured early Saturday when he was partially ejected from his car during a crash, Manchester police said.

Sean Page, 21, of Howell, was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with life-threatening injuries, police said. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, police said.

Page was driving a silver 2001 Ford Taurus on Route 571, also known as Ridgeway Road, about 1:15 a.m. when he lost control on a curve, hit a tree and then hit a second, smaller tree before the car came to a stop in the woods at 3454 Ridgeway Road, police said.

The crash remains under investigation but police said speed appears to be a contributing factor.

Assisting were members of the Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Department, Manchester Volunteer Fire Department, Manchester Township Division of Emergency Service EMTs, as well as Robert Wood Johnson paramedics, police said.
