Man Groped 13-Year-Old While In Ride Line At Great Adventure, Prosecutor Says

Ronnie Lacy is charged with criminal sexual contact in the incident that happened Sunday, authorities say.

A New York City man is accused of touching a 13-year-old girl sexually while the two were in line for a ride at Six Flags Great Adventure on Sunday afternoon, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office said Tuesday.

Ronnie U. Lacy, 21, of Manhattan, has been charged with criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child, said Al Della Fave, spokesman for the prosecutor’s office.

Authorities allege Lacy touched the victim about 4:45 p.m., while he stood behind her in line for the Batman ride at the theme park, Della Fave said. Detective Mitch Cowit from the Jackson Township Police Department and Detective Lindsay Woodfield from the prosecutor’s office’s Special Victims Unit were called in to investigate the incident, Della Fave said, and ultimately arrested Lacy about 10 p.m. on Sunday.
