Man Wielding Machete Arrested At Lakehurst Wawa: Police
Lakehurst police were told the man had waved it around during a confrontation with other customers at the store, the police chief said.
LAKEHURST, NJ — A Lakehurst man was arrested Tuesday on weapons charges after he waved a machete at people during a confrontation at the Lakehurst Wawa, police said.
Eric Jablonski, 35, was arrested at the store at 601 Union Ave. after police were called at 2:06 p.m. about the dispute, Lakehurst Police Chief Matthew J. Kline said.
Police Officer Anthony Florio, Detective Madelyn Poss and Sgt. Jason Guide responded and found the man matching the description of the person brandishing the machete — Jablonski — and detained him, Kline said.

The investigation turned up a machete in a backpack that was sitting next to Jablonski on the ground, he said.
Jablonski has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and disorderly conduct, creating a physically hazardous situation, Kline said. He was taken to Lakehurst police headquarters where he was processed and remanded to Ocean County Jail.
