Manchester Day Celebration Postponed

The forecast for possible thunderstorms all weekend led Manchester Township officials to cancel the event, for now.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The rainy, stormy forecast for the next few days has prompted Manchester Township officials to cancel the Manchester Day celebration scheduled for the weekend.

The concern about the potential for thunderstorms and ensuring the safety of everyone who was expected to attend were the key factors, the announcement from the Manchester Recreation department said.

Manchester Day was set for Saturday, with a raindate of Sunday, but the National Weather Service forecast says rain and thunderstorms are possible all weekend.
