Manchester Day Rescheduled; See What's Planned

The annual celebration of the founding of Manchester has been rescheduled. Take a look at what's in store.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Manchester Township will celebrate its founding with the rescheduled festivities of Manchester Day, now set for Aug. 26, the recreation department announced.

The annual celebration was forced to be postponed last weekend due to the forecast for thunderstorms.

The family-friendly event at Harry Wright Lake, 1501 Lake Road in Whiting, begins at 2 p.m. and runs all day, concluding with fireworks at dusk.

It includes rides and games for both children and adults to enjoy, demonstrations and prizes, as well as food and snacks from a wide variety of vendors.

There will be live entertainment, with Yacht Rock Gold and Steppin' Out scheduled to perform, and 100.1 WJRZ will provide music as well.
