The Manchester High School football team paid a visit to The Haven, spending time with residents and sharing stories and friendship.

MANCHESTER, NJ — In the summer, high school football players are usually found in the weight room working on their strength or running plays on the practice field, getting ready for the fall season.

The Manchester Township High School football team recently took a break from that preparation to visit with residents at The Haven, an assisted living facility in Manchester.

The students spent time with the residents, sharing their stories, talking about manchester football and even playing bingo with the residents.

The team and Coach Tom Farrell received a warm welcome, and there were new friendships made between the generations, the district said.
